There is some important information concerning access arrangements for regular and potential users of the Village Hall which should be referred to. New procedures will be operative from Monday 3rd February 2025. Please refer to the details given on the News Page.

Wallington Village Hall is in Wallington, Hampshire on the South Coast of England.

It primarily serves the local community of Wallington and Downend. WVCA members benefit from preferential rates when booking the Hall.  (Please note that discounted rates only apply to WVCA members who live in Wallington and Downend Ward.)

Local user directions

For local users the Hall is in Broadcut, opposite Sainsbury's and next to the river. It can be reached from North Wallington via the footbridge opposite The White Horse.

The hall provides the following facilities:

  • A fully equipped kitchen (supplementary charges may apply)
  • Combined air-conditioning/heating units.
  • An electrically-operated drop-down OHP screen
  • Ceiling mounted projector
  • A hearing loop in the main hall
  • Stairlift to upper meeting room
  • Free WiFi in all rooms    
     

Defibrillator A Defibrillator has been fitted at the Hall. It is located on the wall of the entrance porch. It is fully automatic and talks the operator through the procedure.

VILLAGE HALL HIRING CHARGES

The Hall has 3 rooms available for hire as follows:

Current charges are as follows effective from 1st April 2026

** Please note that there is restricted access for those with disabilities (stairlift) **

Hirers set up and clear up after their own events which helps keep hire charges affordable to all.

Supplementary Charges

  • Use of the kitchen for more than light refreshments (tea/coffee) - £26.78 per session
  • There is a £10.71 charge per session applicable (at the discretion of the Hall Team) for the use of the kitchen when large numbers of users have refreshments, i.e. more than 30 people attend in the Main Hall.
  • Projector/music system - £25.00 per session - There is no longer a charge for this
  • Stage (2.25m x 4.5m) - £25.00 per session

Deposits

  • Booking deposits - £30.00
  • Security bond - £25.00 to £300.00 (dependent on the function but returnable, subject to satisfactory condition of Hall, post hiring)
